Switch 2 May Lineup Headlined by Yoshi Exclusive, Indiana Jones Port and Stray
Nintendo Life and GameSpot have published their consolidated views of Nintendo Switch 2’s May 2026 release slate, and the month is shaping up as the console’s most consequential since launch. The marquee title is Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, a Switch 2 exclusive platformer landing on May 21, 2026 — the first major first-party exclusive of the system’s second-year lineup. Nintendo highlighted the title at its mini Direct as proof that more first-party Switch 2 software is coming despite a quieter post-launch window than some fans expected.
Third-party support is just as heavy. Mixtape arrived on May 7 across Switch 2, PS5, Xbox and PC, and Bethesda/Microsoft brought Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to Switch 2 on May 12, several months after its original Xbox and PC debut. BlueTwelve Studio’s Stray, the BAFTA-winning cat-adventure originally released for PS5 in 2022, gets a native Switch 2 port on May 28. Bubsy 4D joins the slate on May 22 and Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes launches across PC and consoles on May 11.
May caps a sustained third-party push that Nintendo has been promoting to address concerns about Switch 2’s software cadence. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, originally a PS5 timed exclusive in 2024, comes to Switch 2 and Xbox on June 3. 007 First Light from IO Interactive hits PS5, Xbox and PC on May 27, with the Switch 2 version following later in the year. Combined with Forza Horizon 6 on May 19 and the still-busy PC release calendar, May is now the broadest cross-platform release window the industry has seen in 2026.
