PS Plus April 2026: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Headlines Eight New Extra and Premium Games
PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers received access to eight new catalog titles on April 21, 2026, headlined by Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered — Guerrilla Games' upgraded version of the 2017 open-world action RPG featuring overhauled character models, lighting, and haptic feedback support for the DualSense controller. The remaster had previously been available only as a standalone purchase since its October 2024 launch, making its arrival in the PS Plus catalog a significant value addition for subscribers who held off on buying it outright.
The full April Extra and Premium wave includes: Football Manager 26 Console (the latest edition of Sports Interactive's management simulation), The Crew Motorfest (Ubisoft's open-world racing game set in a Hawaii-inspired environment), Warriors: Abyss (an action musou title with a large roster of characters), Squirrel with a Gun (a quirky action-platformer), and The Casting of Frank Stone (Behaviour Interactive's story-driven horror game set in the Dead by Daylight universe). Premium-tier subscribers also gain access to Wild Arms 4, the classic PlayStation 2 RPG upgraded with improved visuals and quality-of-life features.
On the Essential tier, subscribers still have until May 4, 2026 to claim the April monthly free games: Lords of the Fallen (2023) (CI Games' dark fantasy soulslike), Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream (Bandai Namco's action RPG), and Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (Aspyr's three-game classic collection). The April Extra and Premium wave represents one of the stronger monthly additions in 2026, with PlayStation LifeStyle noting that Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered alone has a retail value that exceeds the monthly cost of a PS Plus Extra subscription.
