Microsoft announced 18 games hitting Xbox Game Pass in April 2026's first wave on April 7, making it one of the strongest months for the subscription service this year. The wave opened with Final Fantasy IV on April 7 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, followed by FBC: Firebreak arriving April 8 as a day-one Game Pass launch. DayZ also joined PC Game Pass on April 8, with Planet Coaster 2 following on April 9 across all tiers.

The mid-month lineup is headlined by Hades II arriving April 14 — one of the most anticipated Game Pass additions in recent memory, following the roguelike sequel's extended early access period. Replaced, the cyberpunk narrative action game set in an alternate 1980s America, also arrives April 14. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare joins cloud, console, and PC on April 17, while EA Sports NHL 26 joins EA Play on April 16 featuring the Ice Q 2.0 system powered by NHL Edge real-time player data. The wave closes with Kiln as a day-one Game Pass title on April 23.

Notably, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is confirmed as part of April's Game Pass catalog — a significant addition for the service that first launched in April 2025 but had not previously been available through Game Pass. With 18 confirmed titles spanning survival, co-op shooter, roguelike, RPG remaster, narrative action, sports, and cozy genres, April 2026 is shaping up as one of Game Pass's most packed months since late 2025, according to coverage from Kotaku and TrueAchievements.
